Professions of Faith
You are encouraged to
personalize these professions of faith in Christ by reading them aloud.
1. I am born again from
above (John 3:3, I Peter 1:23).
“Jesus answered and said unto him, ‘Verily, verily, I say
unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of
God’” (John 3:3).
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever”
(I Peter 1:23).
2. My first birth was a
fleshly birth, but the second birth is a spiritual birth (John 3:1-8).
“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of
the Jews: The
same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou
art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou
doest, except God be with him. Jesus
answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a
man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old?
can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be
born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of
God. That which is born of
the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound
thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so
is every one that is born of the Spirit”
(John 3:1-8).
3.
I am born not of seed that is corruptible, but of incorruptible seed.
This means that when I do sin within the will, I will not corrupt
the spirit (I Peter 1:23).
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever”
(I Peter 1:23).
4. I am born of the Word of
God, which lives and dwells in me for ever (I Peter 1:23).
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever”
(I Peter 1:23).
5. Since I am born again in
the spirit, I am not able to sin in the spirit.
I can not sin in my spirit-man because God's seed lives within me
(I John 3:9).
“Whosoever
is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and
he cannot sin, because he is born of God” (I John 3:9).
6. Since I am born of the
Spirit of God, Satan can not touch my spirit to destroy it (I John
5:18).
“We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that
is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him
not” (I John 5:18).
7. I have been taken out of
Satan's kingdom of darkness and have been translated into the kingdom of
Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:13).

translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” (Colossians 1:13).

6:18).

Christ (I Corinthians 6:17).

joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (I Corinthians 6:17).

complete; therefore, I need nothing more (Colossians 2:10).
“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all
principality and power” (Colossians
2:10).
11. I am sealed with the
Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13).
“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of
truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye
believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise” (Ephesians
1:13).
12. I was spiritually dead
to the things of God. I was actually dead in my spirit, but I have been
made alive by the spirit of Christ (Ephesians 2:5).
“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together
with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” (Ephesians 2:5).
13. I was considered a
sinner, but now I am made the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ (II
Corinthians 5:21).
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that
we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (II Corinthians
5:21).
14.
Because of the righteousness that I have in Christ, I am fully accepted
of God (Ephesians 1:6).
“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made
us accepted in the beloved” (Ephesians 1:6).
15. God’s complete love
for me casts out the fear of judgment (I John 4:18).

because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in
love” (I John 4:18).
16. I am set apart from the
world unto the living God; therefore, I am actually a saint.
(I Corinthians 1:2).

Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit”
(Romans 8:1).
18. I actually have the
divine nature of God dwelling within me (II Peter 1:4).
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious
promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (II
Peter 1:4).
19. In the spirit, I am
seated with Christ Jesus in heaven far above all the powers of the enemy
(Ephesians 2:6).

heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6).

eternal life” (John 3:15).

perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My
Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to
pluck them out of my Father's hand” (John 10:28-29).
23. No weapon that the enemy
has formed against me shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

of me, saith the LORD” (Isaiah 54:17).

to save your souls” (James 1:21).

thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
(Joshua 1:8).
