Introduction The following prayers were
written in response to letters from prisoner requesting prayers to be
used by them in special circumstances.
They may be prayed in agreement with a prayer partner or
intercession. Prayer
for an Inmate's Protection and Future Father, I pray that I may
become useful and helpful and kind to those around me, tenderhearted
(compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving others
[readily and freely], as You, Father, in Christ forgave me my sins. It is my desire to be an
imitator of You, Lord. With
the/* Holy Spirit as my Helper, I will [copy You and follow Your
example], as well-beloved child [imitated his/her father].
I purpose to walk in love [esteeming and delighting in others],
as Christ loves me. As I
attend to Your Word, I depend on Your Holy Spirit to teach me to live a
life of victory in Christ Jesus my Lord. In the name of Jesus, I am
Your child, I am dwelling in the secret place of the Most High and
abiding under the shadow of the Almighty.
I say of You, Lord, that You are my Refuge and Fortress: my God;
in You will I trust. You
cover me with Your feathers, and under Your wings shall I trust:
Your truth is my shield and buckler. Because You are my Lord, my
Refuge and Habitation, no evil shall befall me - no accident will
overtake me - neither shall any plague or calamity come near me.
You give Your angels [special] charge over me, to keep me in all
of my ways [of obedience and service]. Thank you for hearing my
prayer. You are with me in
trouble; You deliver me and satisfy me with long life and show me Your

Psalm 91: 15, 16 Psalm 91:1, 2, Prayer for Incarcerated Parent and His/Her Children Listen, God, I'm calling at
the top of my lungs: "Be
good to me! Answer me! When my heart whispered,
"Seek God," my whole being replied, "I'm seeking
Him!" Don't hide from
me now. I didn't know it before, but I
know now that You've always been right here for me; don't turn Your back
on me now. Don't throw me
out and don't abandon me; You've always kept the door open. Thank You for sending
ministers to tell me about You and Your love for me. My children say they hate me;
they feel abandoned and alone. Even
though their father/mother walked away from them, I ask You, Father, to
take them in. Lord of the harvest, I ask You
to send laborers of the harvest and wise counselors to my children, who
have been hurt by my actions. Father, I have sinned against
You, against my children, and against myself.
I repent of the sins that have so easily beset me and ask You to

I pray that my children will be willing to forgive e so that me
may be a family again. In the name of Jesus, I
cast the care of my children on You and rest in the assurance that You
will perfect that which concerns me.
I put on the garment of praise and delight myself in You.
Teach me Your ways, O Lord, that I may walk and live in Your

Hebrews 86:11 AMP Psalm 138:8 Prayer for an Inmate To Pray for His/Her Family and CaregiverFather, I have sinned against
You, against my children, and against myself.
I repent of the sins that have so easily beset me and ask for
Your forgiveness. Father, You Word assures me
that You forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Thank You for forgiving me.
I pray that my
children will be willing to forgive me so that we may be a family again. Thank You for the one who has
assumed responsibility for my children while I am away. I pray that You will strengthen him/her and fill him/her with
Your Spirit Who gives hi,/her great wisdom, ability, and skill in
rearing the children You gave to me.
I repent for failing to assume my responsibility to my children,
and I ask You to reward the one who is taking care of them. His/her mouth shall speak of
wisdom; and the meditation of his/her heart shall be understanding.
I thank You that he/she is in Christ Jesus, Who has been made
unto him/her wisdom from You - his/her righteousness, holiness, and
redemption. He/she is
filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and
understanding so the he/she may live a life worthy of You and may please
You in every way, bearing fruit in every good work. Father, I am responsible for
my own actions, and I recognize that what I have done has hurt my entire
family. Forgive me for
dishonoring You, my family, my friends, and my children.
Give me the grave to pay my debt and do my assigned works as unto
You. Help me to develop
diligence and patience, giving myself to prayer, study, and meditation
in Your Word. Lord, there is violence
within these walls, but I look to You.
Hide me in the secret place of Your presence from the plots of
others. Keep me secretly in

Court Cases
Father, in the name of Jesus,
it is written in Your Word to call on You and You will answer me and
show me great and mighty things. I
put You in remembrance of Your Word and thank You that You watch over it
to perform it. I say that no weapons formed
against me shall prosper, and any tongue that rises against me in
judgment I shall show to be in the wrong.
This peace, security, and triumph over opposition is my
inheritance as Your child. This
is the righteousness I obtain from You, Father, which You impart to me
as my justification. I am far form even the thought of destruction; for I shall
not fear, and terror shall not come near me. Father, You say You will
establish me to the end - keep me steadfast, give me strength, and
guarantee my vindication. Father,
You control with those who contend with me, and You perfect that
concerns me. I dwell in the
secret place of the Most High, and this secret places hides me from the
strife of tongues, for a false witness who breathes out lies is an
abomination to You. I am true witness, and all my
words are upright and in right standing with You, Father. By my long forbearing and calmness of spirit the judge is
persuaded, and my soft speech breaks down the most bone-like resistance.
Therefore, I am not anxious beforehand how I shall reply in
defense or what I and to say, for the Holy Spirit teaches me in that
very hour and moment what I ought to say tot hose in the outside
world. My speech is
seasoned with salt. As a child of the light, I enforce the triumphant victory of my Lord Jesus Christ in this situation, knowing that all of heaven is backing me. I am strong in You, Lord, and in the power of Your might. Thank You for the shield of faith that quenches every fiery dart of the enemy. A Prayer For Marriage
This day _________ will be blessed in every situation and
circumstance that
comes his/her way. I pray that _______is strengthened and
reinforced in every area of life, spiritually, emotionally and
physically. Thank you, Father, that our union is off limits to Satan.
We stand against any
maneuver that he might be using
against us. In
the power of Jesus' name, Satan
has been placed under our feet. In the name of Jesus, our marriage is a blessed union,
joined in the spirit
with Your eternal love. The
love we share together as husband and wife is a special experience. The bond of unity that makes the two
of us one grows stronger and stronger each passing day. I pray that our marriage may serve as an example to other Christians--and
believers, too--of the way God
intends for marriage
relationships to be in this life. What God has joined
together, let no man put asunder! Prayer
For The Home
As Your child, I stand before You to receive the provisions
You have made for us
through the shed blood of Jesus
Christ. He washed us clean from sin, sickness,
and all that Satan
would bring. Thank you, Father! Your Word says that through wisdom this house is built
and through
understanding it is established. By knowledge the chambers are filled with
all precious and
pleasant riches. Wealth and riches shall be in this
house, and our righteousness I thank you, Father, that no evil shall befall us,
neither shall any
plague come nigh this dwelling.
The wicked are
overthrown and are not, This house is blessed with Your life, Your joy and Your peace. The
peace of God reigns in each
of our lives. With open hearts, we receive Your perfect will for
us. Each day we look to
You as the Light that
shows us the way through
every situation and
circumstance that arises. With boldness, I proclaim this day; "For me and my house, we shall serve the Lord." Prayer
For Your Child Lord
I confess that I have made some serious mistakes concerning my children.
I ask Your forgiveness and their forgiveness today. Here is my new
prayer for my children, in Jesus’ name. Father, in the name of Jesus,
I come before You now in behalf of my child,.
Your Word says that children are the heritage of the Lord and
that the fruit of the womb is His reward.
I accept
(name)
as a special gift from You, Father, and thank You for giving
him/her to me. According to Your Word,
as I train up my child in the way he/she should go, when he/she is old,
he/she will not depart from it. I
accept the promise now by faith. As
I teach (name)
, and
bring him/her up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord., I
believe he/she will grow up to be a godly man. Because (name)
is taught of the
Lord, great shall be his/her peace. I thank you , Father,
for Your guidance in
disciplining (name)
. As I correct
him/her in love and admonish him/her according to Your Word, I
pray that he/she will grow in wisdom, in stature, and in favor
with You and with men. I pray that You give
Your angels charge over (name)
each day to accompany him/her and keep him/her safe from any
maneuver of the Devil. Your
Word says that the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. Because I have chosen to serve You, Lord, I can confidently proclaimMy seed shall be great and mighty upon the earth! Amen.A PRAYER OF
VICTORY OVER THE SPIRITS OF LUST Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before you willingly,
and ask for deliverance from the spirits of lust that have been haunting
me. As Your
word says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me.”
Lord, I lift up all my struggles and challenges in dealing
with the sprits of lust this day, which I have been entertaining for
much too long. I give
them all to you knowing, at the same time, that they shall no longer
have control over me, in the name of Jesus.
In the name of Jesus, I claim my victory over every spirit of
lust that comes my way and put them all under my feet this day.
In the name of Jesus, I bind the spirits of lust, fornication,
pornography, masturbation and every other spirit of lust named or
unnamed and loose all you demonic spirits from your assignment of any
further attacks on me, my family, loved ones, prayer partners, anyone in
my prayer circle and anyone I come in contact with through fellowship.
The spirits of lust no longer have control over me from this day forward, in the name of Jesus. I take authority over Satan. I cast every lustful thought out of my head immediately, in the name of Jesus, and I commit to You, dear Lord, to living my life for you, realizing that my body is a temple which will be respected as much as I respect you. All these things I ask, in Jesus, I pray. Amen!
